Samsung Galaxy Book 6 series set for 11 March US launch
Samsung’s Galaxy Book 6 laptops launch in the US on 11 March, featuring AI tools, long battery life and premium hardware options.
Samsung has confirmed that its latest Galaxy Book 6 laptop range will go on sale in the United States from 11 March, following its unveiling at CES earlier this year. The company said customers can already reserve devices through its website and Samsung Experience Stores ahead of the official release date.
The Galaxy Book 6 series includes three models: the standard Galaxy Book 6, the Galaxy Book 6 Pro, and the high-end Galaxy Book 6 Ultra. All three laptops are powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors, introduced at CES with a focus on improved performance, stronger graphics, and longer battery life.
Samsung is positioning the Book 6 range as a new generation of AI-focused laptops. The devices include features such as AI Select and Search, which allow users to look for information using natural language commands. The company has increasingly emphasised artificial intelligence across its product lines, and the Book 6 range continues this strategy by integrating AI-driven tools directly into the operating system and hardware.
Pricing, specifications and performance options
The Galaxy Book 6 series covers a wide range of prices and performance levels. The entry-level Galaxy Book 6 starts at US$1,050, while the Galaxy Book 6 Pro begins at US$1,600. Samsung’s premium Galaxy Book 6 Ultra is priced from US$2,450, reflecting its high-end components and target market of power users.
Samsung will offer the Galaxy Book 6 Pro in both 14-inch and 16-inch configurations. These models can be equipped with up to Intel Core Ultra X7 processors and Intel Arc graphics, delivering solid performance for everyday tasks, creative work, and light gaming. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, available in a 16-inch version, can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor and NVIDIA RTX 50 Series graphics, positioning it as the flagship device in the lineup.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra delivers significant performance gains over previous models, partly due to a new fifth-generation MPU and upgraded graphics hardware. The company is targeting professionals who need advanced computing power for tasks such as video editing, 3D rendering and AI workloads, while still offering portability and battery efficiency.
Design changes, display features and battery life
Samsung has introduced several design updates with the Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Ultra models. Both laptops are slimmer than their predecessors, although they take different design approaches. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra follows a more traditional laptop form factor, while the Galaxy Book 6 Pro adopts a thinner, more minimalist style that is visually closer to competing ultraportable laptops.
To improve thermal performance, Samsung redesigned the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra’s internal layout, spreading components across a larger surface area to improve heat distribution. This change aims to maintain performance under heavy workloads while keeping the device cool and quiet.
Battery life is another key focus for the new models. Samsung claims that both the Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra can deliver up to 30 hours of video playback, marking the longest battery life the company has offered in its Galaxy Book range. This improvement reflects broader industry efforts to balance performance and portability with extended usage on a single charge.
The Pro and Ultra models feature AMOLED 2X displays with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 and refresh rates of up to 120Hz. These screens are designed to offer high brightness, deep contrast and smooth motion, making them suitable for media consumption, productivity and creative work. Samsung continues to use AMOLED technology as a key differentiator in its laptop portfolio, leveraging its experience in smartphone and TV panels.
With the Galaxy Book 6 series, Samsung is aiming to compete more directly with premium Windows laptops and Apple’s MacBook lineup. By combining AI features, long battery life and high-end hardware options, the company is seeking to attract both everyday users and professionals who need powerful yet portable machines.
