Samsung reveals ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge but keeps details under wraps

Samsung has unveiled the ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge but shared few details. Will ultra-slim phones be the next big trend? Find out more.

The rumours were true—Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, an ultra-slim smartphone. The announcement came at the end of the Galaxy Unpacked event, which left many excited about the new design. However, Samsung shared very little information about the device, leaving many questions unanswered.

What we know so far

Despite the lack of details, the brief showcase reveals some things. The Galaxy S25 Edge follows the design language of the rest of the S25 series, featuring flat sides and a sleek, slab-like profile. From a visual estimate, its display is around 6.7 inches, and the device includes two rear cameras.

However, Samsung did not reveal key specifications such as the phone’s exact thickness, weight, processor, or battery capacity. There was also no mention of a release date or pricing, though earlier leaks suggested it would launch in 39 markets.

A move ahead of Apple?

One of the most notable aspects of this reveal is that Samsung has beaten Apple to launch an ultra-slim smartphone. There have been long-standing rumours that Apple plans to introduce a slimmer iPhone later this year.

With Samsung making the first move, the question remains—will ultra-slim smartphones become the next major trend in 2025? Only time will tell.
