Samsung has expanded its Galaxy A-series lineup by introducing the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 smartphones, offering budget-conscious consumers a compelling blend of features and affordability.

Specifications and features

Both the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 are powered by octa-core processors, ensuring smooth performance for everyday tasks. While Samsung has not disclosed the specific chipset for the Galaxy A15, the Galaxy A25 boasts the 5nm Exynos 1280 chipset, known for its efficiency and performance.

These devices offer up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with the option to expand storage via microSD cards up to 1TB. This provides ample space for storing photos, videos, and apps.

Both models feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, delivering vibrant colours and sharp details for an immersive viewing experience. The Galaxy A25 further enhances this experience with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000-nits peak brightness, surpassing the Galaxy A15’s 90Hz refresh rate and 800-nits peak brightness.

Camera and battery performance

In the camera department, both phones boast a versatile triple camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP macro camera for close-up shots. However, the Galaxy A25 distinguishes itself with an 8MP ultrawide camera, offering a wider field of view compared to the Galaxy A15’s 5MP ultrawide camera. Additionally, the Galaxy A25 features a 13MP front camera, while the Galaxy A15 comes with a different 13MP front camera.

With a robust 5,000mAh battery capacity, users can enjoy extended usage without worrying about frequent recharging. Both devices support 25W wired charging, allowing for quick replenishment of battery life when needed.

Software and pricing

Samsung’s latest One UI 6, based on Android 14, provides a clean and intuitive user interface, enhancing overall user experience. Furthermore, Samsung Knox security features have been extended to the Galaxy A-series phones, ensuring robust protection of user data and privacy.

The Galaxy A15 LTE variant is priced at S$228, offering budget-conscious consumers an affordable entry into the world of 5G connectivity. The Galaxy A15 5G variant is priced slightly higher at S$298, while the Galaxy A25 5G, with its advanced features, comes with a price tag of S$388.

Both models are now available through various channels, providing consumers easy access to these budget-friendly yet feature-packed smartphones.
