The iPhone 16 Pro may feature a new ‘Desert Titanium’ finish

The iPhone 16 Pro could introduce a new "Desert Titanium" finish, replacing Blue Titanium, with a polished look similar to older models.

Just yesterday, it was reported that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro could debut in a fresh rose gold finish. However, new information suggests that Apple’s official name for this new finish will be “Desert Titanium.”

This revelation comes from the well-known tipster @MajinBuOfficial, who shared details on social media, describing this new finish as “a kind of dark gold, similar to the old purple colour, relatively discreet and deep.” If the rumours hold true, Desert Titanium will replace the current Blue Titanium finish in the Pro lineup.

New colour option details

@MajinBuOfficial provided further insights based on leaked images of the iPhone 16 Pro’s camera rings. The leaks indicate that the iPhone 16 Pro will come in four finishes: Titanium White, Titanium Black, Titanium Gold, and Titanium Grey.

Earlier reports hinted at the possibility of a rose gold finish, and recently, @SonnyDickson shared a photo of iPhone 16 Pro dummy units that revealed this new colour option. Surprisingly, the rose gold finish appears darker than many expected, with some observers noting that it almost looks brown in certain lighting conditions.

Is a polished finish on the horizon?

In addition to the Desert Titanium finish, there are whispers that Apple may introduce a more polished finish for the iPhone 16 Pro. This potential change could bring the iPhone 16 Pro’s appearance closer to that of the iPhone 14 Pro’s stainless steel frame, offering a sleek and sophisticated look reminiscent of older models.

The excitement surrounding the iPhone 16 Pro continues to build as more details emerge. While nothing is confirmed until Apple makes its official announcement, iPhone fans are growing anxious about the new Desert Titanium finish and possible polished look.
